I'm also having the issue of whenever my Mac goes to sleep or if I turn it off, the log in screen says there are updates necessary. The first concern I had was whether the fact it was using a generic Microsoft HID driver was the problem.  It turns out it's not.  The problem is with the scroll Still had that issue on and off.I found that restarting does solve the problem but if I use Word for extended periods of time while just putting the machine to sleep I suspect that any setting other than 100% is not actually WYSIWYG.
