  • only step you were missing was the "run as administrator" but someone put that in the comments on this page and it worked.
  • In my case, the HP printer update will not install, and I will now try to at least hide the pesky reminder.

  • Worth mentioning that I had to combine and repeat solutions.
  • Step 2: Delete or Rename Windows update temporary storage folder.
  • Then click Run as administrator, as this can help find more issues.

Only start is an option. This is the only method that has worked!! This worked like a dream! The only thing that worked was to Hide the update, which was possible in previous versions of Windows, but not in Win10.
