I feel like thats going backwards to last generation compressed audio but sure enough it sounds better than the 7.1 uncompressed setting with the incorrectly steered audio channels. BTW, the BD player on the console do output 5.1 surround sound correctly. EDIT: For those looking for a resolution in the future it seems it was my fault altogether (which is what I was hoping for - less expensive)! You may be right regarding my Center channel though! I love my xbox one but I have to agree here. I've done it before but you never know. Is there any configuration that needs to change on the receiver?
No center channel info any more for Red Dead Redemption, Halo ODST or MW2. I eventually just changed out the speaker wire and haven't had a problem yet. deathscythecustom, Jan 4, 2010 spazzyman Noob Joined: Oct 20, 2009 Messages: 285 Date Posted: Jan 4, 2010 #3 try this. The thing printed on the FAQ is such hogwash...

However sounds that are coded into a file... You can open the receiver settings menu and scroll to channel balance (i forget the exact name) where it sends a white noise signal to individual speakers. Somehow, I think it is an XBOX 360 software or hardware issue... I will test my xbox with a new cable.
I have tried pretty much everything and I am out of options. I don't want to send my 360 into MS yet. You lost some audio quality but I'm not sure if XBone can correctly pack it into 2.0 instead of 5.1 stream. I could be wrong.
It seems my center channel needed to be re-wired (I swore I checked it but I ended up just pulling the whole thing out and starting with fresh leads). There will be output in the rear surrounds but not the surrounds. Anyways this works for me with my 5.1 Denon setup. How is that?

A bit lengthy, but I too am having a similar problem. The satellites are all Klipsch Quintets and the center is that huge center speaker that Klipsch made (the new ones are smaller).
I don't recall if factory reset does reset the channel balances or not, but I do know it resets the channel inputs, not that doing so will help you in this yourbeliefsMember Since: December 19, 2005Posts: 247yourbeliefsFollowForum Posts: 247Followed by: 0Reviews: 5 Stacks: 0Forum Karma: 0#3 Posted by yourbeliefs (247 posts) - 8 years, 10 months ago Well all I know is HTPC - Linux Chat HTPC - Mac Chat Home Entertainment & Theater Builder Dedicated Theater Design & Construction General Home Theater & Media/Game http://findthemes.net/xbox-360/how-to-play-original-xbox-games-on-xbox-360.html Did you do anything/are using anything new or did this just happen randomly?
if you use a DSP Effect setting on your receiver (such as Hall, Concert, or Theater emulation) it allows the center channel to work. The audio balance in the game is much better now and I can finally talk to characters without having to turn my back to them Reply With Quote Quick Navigation BioShock It's very frustrating because most of the dialogue is pumped out the center channel.
I don't think the problem is with the Samsung because it plays fine with DVDs, and also when I play movies on my 360 (Downloaded ones, not DVDs) the center channel Discussion in 'Xbox Lobby' started by deathscythecustom, Jan 3, 2010. My 360 is running HDMI to TV, optical cable to receiver. If you do not understand what is causing this behavior, please contact us here. That way you get more of a "surround" effect.Hope that helps. Any solutions? this content If MS didn't fix it for so long, it probably won't be fixed ever.
like in game sounds or effects on the dashboard. If I were you I would check the following: -Make sure your speaker wires are connected properly. I have my 360 hooked up to a 5.1 surround sound as well, and Halo 3 doesn't put out ANY sound through the center channel during the game. That is all the ideas I have at this point.
I have the same problem. Brandon Criswell is offline Quote Remove Advertisements Sponsored Links AVS Forum Advertisement post #2 of 15 Old 11-15-2014, 11:00 AM bonscott Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Beyond! If you're still getting no dialog, typically dialog is sent to the center channel.
